The New Girl in Town

The New Girl in Town is April May Potts. She wants nothing more than to make some friends. April May sets out for the park with her dog Scout to play and climb trees, which is her favorite pastime. On her way, she sees other little girls playing and tries to befriend them. But the girls are mean to April May because of the way she dresses. You see, April May is a tomboy and doesn't like to wear dainty dresses like the other girls. She continues to the park, where she sees some little boys playing baseball. When April May asks if she can play ball with them, the boys laugh and say they don't like girls. Once again, she feels sad and hurt. Suddenly, there is an unexpected turn of events and April May Potts is the only one who is able to save the day! This is the story of one girl's struggle to fit in, while staying true to herself.
