This book makes the ideal gift for family, friends and World War II buffs. It also is a wonderful tool for our children to learn about a significant time in our history from these heroic stories and people. These are first-person accounts by average young Americans. These people of the 1940's typically left their farms, factories and universities to serve our country in the World War II Pacific. In the process, they became anything but average.
