In the modern agriculture, farm experts have given primary attention to BNF as source of nitrogen to the crops. The lion share of BNF is undoubtedly overtaken by symbiotic N fixation by legume-Rhizobium association as it contributes about 64% of the biologically fixed N in terrestrial agricultural systems.
