This book highlights the role that both infrastructure and governance play in the context of resilience and climate change adaptation. The World Water Council and the National Association of Water and Sanitation Utilities of Mexico (ANEAS) in collaboration with the National Water Commission of Mexico (CONAGUA) have supported a series of case studies in different parts of the world to study these issues, the results of which are presented in this book. The geographical focus of the studies includes the Arid Americas (the Unites States and Mexico), Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Nepal, Mexico, Pakistan, Turkey, and South Africa. It discusses water infrastructure challenges at the basin, national and regional levels, including those related to governance (policies, institutions and decision making); technical and knowledge constraints and limitations; and the economic, social and environmental impacts of climate change and variability.?
